Biography:
Son of Hugh, a senior international in the 1920s, and father of Hugh, an Under-21 international in the 2000s, Con Davey won a single amateur cap as a striker while with Glenavon. After spells with Dundalk (where he played alongside his brother Terry) and in the NASL he returned to the Lurgan Blues where he captained them as a commanding centre-half. Also capable at full-back or in midfield, he was Glenavon's Player of the Year for the 1977/78 season.
