Biography:
A Ballygomartin-lad, Alan Campbell had a long and distinguished playing and managerial career, collecting virtually every honour available in both.

As a manager, Campbell worked with Glenavon (1975-78), Ballymena United (1979-82 & 1984-85), Distillery (1983-85), Ypsonna (Cyprus) (coach 1990), Sotira (coach 1991), Ballyclare Comrades (1993), Bangor (1998), Carrick Rangers (2000-2002) and Barn United. He also acted as a scout for Northern Ireland under his ex-Grimsby boss, Lawrie McMenemy (1998-99).
